Using just a few grains of salt, the H2gO produces a powerful chlorine-and-peroxide disinfectant to treat between 1 to 20 liters (1 quart to 5 gallons) at a time. The lifetime capacity is 60,000+ to 120,000+ liters (16,000+ to 32,000+ gallons) of safe water, depending on the model selected. It is virtually free to operate, with no maintenance, no spare parts, and no consumables (other than common salt), making it truly sustainable.
The H2gO Purifier was designed for austere conditions, meeting mil spec standards for durability, shock, vibration, freeze/thaw, drop, and 300-pound (136-kg) load tests. The unit recharges via USB-C or its built-in solar panel and carries an IP67 rating for dust protection and 1-meter water resistance for 30 minutes. The H2gO GLOBAL is an ideal device for those who will be treating generally clear water or who are very sensitive to the taste of chlorine in the water. The GLOBAL kills viruses and bacteria with a single 2.5 mg/L dose, but requires a double dose to kill Giardia and Cryptosporidium. The H2gO GLOBAL was designed to meet World Health Organization (WHO) standards as defined in the Household Water Treatment Scheme (HWTS). People in low- and middle-income countries are often at higher risk for viral and bacterial contamination, and they find the lower dose more palatable. The GLOBAL is still a good choice in the developed world for finishing treatment after filtering or for standalone treatment against all pathogens with a double dose.

H2gO PRIME Details
The H2gO PRIME kills viruses, bacteria, Giardia, and Cryptosporidium with a single 5 mg/L dose and is good for those who want maximum disinfection efficacy with a single punch or who will frequently be treating more turbid waters. The PRIME was designed for the military and outdoor recreation market, based on the EPA Guide Standard & Protocol for Testing Microbiological Water Purifiers and complying with the U.S. Army’s TB MED 577 dosage guidelines of 5 mg/L.
The H2gO PRIME will supply an individual with at least 10 years of safe water (at 16 L or 4 gals per day) using only 1 cup of common salt per YEAR and a weekly recharge.
